Yordan Alvarez Drives In Two More Runs Sunday
4 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez went 1-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Sunday's 8-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. It wasn't all good, though, as he struck out twice and also left seven men on base in the game. The 27-year-old left-handed hitter now has a seven-game hitting streak in which he's slashing .385/.448/.538 with a .987 OPS, one home run, seven runs scored, five RBI and one stolen base in 29 plate appearances. Fantasy managers would probably like to see more power -- just nine home runs -- but you can't argue with Alvarez's .308/.362/.509 overall slash line in 224 at-bats this season. As long as he stays healthy, the 2019 American League Rookie of the Year is one of the more balanced players in fantasy and resides in a great lineup.
