Yordan Alvarez Dealing With Soreness, Will Sit On Thursday
3 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez was removed from the team's game against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday. After the game, Astros manager Dusty Baker told reporters that Alvarez was dealing with soreness, but he didn't specify what type of soreness. Baker explained that he didn't want to take a chance with him as the team already has one key outfielder, Michael Brantley (knee), on the injured list. Baker also told the media that Alvarez would sit out on Thursday. Alvarez put together a big game on Wednesday before getting lifted. He went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored. Consider him day-to-day with a chance to return on Friday.
