Yordan Alvarez Back In Astros Lineup
5 months agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (hip) is serving as the DH and is batting third for the Astros on Friday against the visiting division-rival Texas Rangers and left-hander Andrew Heaney. Knee and hip injuries have caused Alvarez to miss several games of late, but he's back for a big weekend series against Texas and needs to be returned to all starting fantasy lineups as one of the best all-around hitters in baseball. The 27-year-old left-handed slugger has hit .444 in his career with a 1.250 OPS, a home run and two RBI in 18 career at-bats against Heaney. Alvarez has gone just 2-for-13 with three walks and five strikeouts in his last five games, but overall, he's still hitting a strong .297/.382/.539 with a .921 OPS, 19 homers, 51 RBI and five stolen bases. The Cuban slugger is a must-start.
