Yonny Chirinos In Great Shape
5 years agoTampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash said that pitcher Yonny Chirinos looks "awesome" after losing 15 pounds while working out this offseason. Chirinos went 9-5 with a 3.85 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 114 strikeouts and only 28 walks in 133 1/3 innings over 26 outings (18 starts) in 2019 for the Rays. He was slightly better as a starter with a 3.54 ERA and 1.05 WHIP while striking out 92 in 104 1/3 innings. The 26-year-old Venezuelan is a valuable swing man for Tampa's rotation and will once again have value in deep mixed and DFS formats when he's starting in the right matchups. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 78 fantasy starter.
