3 months agoChicago White Sox general manager Chris Getz said that third baseman Yoan Moncada (groin) and right-hander Michael Soroka (shoulder) will both begin minor-league rehab assignments with Triple-A Charlotte next week. This will be Moncada's second rehab stint after initially being pulled from a rehab assignment earlier this year due to renewed soreness. The 29-year-old has been on the injured list since early April with a groin strain and isn't going to have much fantasy appeal with a little more than a month remaining in the 2024 season. Moncada was hitting .282 (11-for-39) but hadn't homered or driven in a run in 11 games before getting hurt. Soroka is working his way back from a right-shoulder strain and also has very little time to make an impact in deep fantasy leagues. He's gone 0-10 with a 5.23 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in nine outings (seven starts) this year in Chicago.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
