5 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz (hand) took swings in the batting cage for the second straight day on Wednesday and said his hand feels better, but he still has some pain when swinging a bat. It's unlikely that he'll come off the injured list when he's eligible on Thursday. Manager Kevin Cash said Diaz might attempt to take batting practice on Thursday, and he shouldn't be out for too much longer. The 27-year-old was hitting .256/.339/.500 with nine homers, 26 runs and 22 RBI before his injury and should remain owned in most fantasy leagues.
