3 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz (rib) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Houston Astros due to left side rib discomfort. He is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game and it sounds as if he'll be out on Thursday as well. However, Diaz told the media on Wednesday that he expects he'll be back in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the New York Yankees. He added that the rib discomfort was just tightness and nothing more. Joey Wendle is starting at third base on Wednesday and there's a good chance he'll be there on Thursday as well.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
