Yan Gomes Has Forearm Contusion
6 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Yan Gomes was forced to leave the game on Monday night and was diagnosed with a left forearm contusion after being hit by a pitch. Tests came back negative and Gomes is day-to-day for now. The backstop has two home runs and 10 RBI on the season as he shares time with Kurt Suzuki, who has been the better bat of the two. Gomes might take the day off on Tuesday, but he shouldn't be out for too long.
