6 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals placed infielder Yairo Munoz (wrist) on the 10-day disabled list on Saturday with a right wrist sprain and recalled infielder Patrick Wisdom from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. Also, reliever Luke Gregerson (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day DL. Munoz had proved capable as a utility infielder and outfielder, with 59 hits in 208 at-bats (.284) and six homers, 31 RBI and five steals. Wisdom, mainly a third baseman, was hitting .289 with an impressive 14 long balls, 58 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 103 games for Memphis.
