6 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera was hit by an Aaron Sanchez fastball on the hand and suffered a contusion on Saturday after X-rays came back negative. Cabrera is considered day-to-day for now and the team will see how he feels on Sunday. The veteran slugger missed most of last year due to injury but had singles in his first two at-bats on Saturday before being hit by the pitch. Detroit desperately needs Cabrera in their lineup all season, and fantasy owners are hoping he can stay healthy as well. It looks like he dodged a bullet, but don't be surprised if he's rested on Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
