X-Rays Negative On Justin Turner's Thumb
6 years agoX-rays turned up negative on Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (thumb) after he hurt his thumb trying to field a ground ball on Wednesday. "There’s a little bit of swelling there,” manager Dave Roberts said. "He’s certain that nothing is wrong as far as structurally, but it’s a little sore.” It's great news, as the Dodgers will surely need one of their best offensive players for the final series of the regular season against the Giants and beyond. Turner got off to a late start to the season due to injury and was rough in the first half, but he's really turned things around for his owners in the second half. He's hitting .333/.427/.529 with two homers and nine RBI in 24 games this month. Turner is a must-start anytime he's in the Dodgers lineup.
