6 years agoNew York Mets infielder Wilmer Flores (knees) is returning to New York to be checked out by doctors on Wednesday, according to manager Mickey Callaway. Even with the Mets well out of the playoff race, Flores hasn't been playing much and hasn't been very effective when he's been in there. There's a good chance that he may not play again this year. Flores is hitting .267/.319/.417 with 11 home runs and 51 RBI on the year as a part-time player.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
