6 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are rumored to have made free-agent shortstop Manny Machado an eight-year offer for $250 million, according to a source. That's after most reports linked the White Sox to a seven-year, $175 million offer to Machado earlier this offseason. The new rumored deal would be the fourth richest in baseball and would carry an average annual value of $31.25 million. Chicago has been one of the favorites for Machado's services all offseason, but the waiting game continues with spring training starting next week. Chicago would also be a great place for Machado to land for fantasy purposes after he hit .297/.367/.538 with 37 home runs, 107 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 2018.
