4 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are among the teams interested in free-agent relief pitcher Brad Hand. They are seeking a top closer and are also interested in former A's closer Liam Hendriks. Alex Colome is a free agent this offseason after serving as Chicago's closer the last two years. Looking to shed payroll, Hand was waived by Cleveland and surprisingly went unclaimed on waivers after posting a 2.05 ERA, 1.37 FIP and 0.77 WHIP while leading the American League with 16 saves in 2020. The Mets are also reportedly interested in adding the southpaw reliever to bolster their bullpen. Either Hand or Hendriks would be the primary ninth-inning arm for the Pale Hose if they were to sign with Chicago, giving them plenty of fantasy appeal for a rising White Sox club.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
