Webb Simpson Stumbles At The Greenbrier
6 years agoFollowing an opening-round 61, Webb Simpson seemed on his way to a dominant performance at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. However, Simpson was unable to continue his excellent play and tumbled down the leaderboard over the weekend, finishing the tournament in a tie for 47th. An ugly third-round 76 took the 2018 Players champion completely out of contention. Simpson's inability with the driver led to his unraveling, as he ranked 137th for the week in strokes gained: off the tee. Simpson will not play in the upcoming John Deere Classic, but will be at Carnoustie for the Open Championship in two weeks.
