Walker Buehler Expected To Be Ready
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler, who is being slow played in camp by the team after a sharp innings spike in 2018, is expected to be ready for Opening Day. He threw to hitters last Saturday and will again this week, which would be his final preparation before his first spring game by the weekend. Buehler expects to double his pitch count from the 20 pitches he threw last weekend and expects to be able to handle 80 pitches or more by the start of the season. Even if Buehler isn't ready for the start of the season, the young right-hander has as much upside as any young hurler in the game and would be an excellent pick as a second fantasy starter.
