5 years agoColorado Rockies closer Wade Davis (back) feels ready to return after his throwing session on Wednesday and could be activated during the series against the Mets this weekend. The veteran should return to the closer's role immediately after posting a 2.45 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, seven saves and 18 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings before his injury. Scott Oberg has filled in nicely as Colorado's main closer in Davis' absence, but he'll go back to a setup role when Davis returns to the active roster.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
