Voluntary Offseason Program Starts Next Week
5 years agoThe NFL and Players Association reached an agreement on a voluntary offseason program for 2020, which will start next Monday, April 20, according to sources. The "virtual period" can start next Monday, but there will be no on-field work for players until after all 32 club facilities can reopen during the coronavirus pandemic. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport thinks it's unlikely that all 32 teams will be open at the same time anytime before June. The NFL draft will carry on virtually later this month, but we won't see players working out on the field together for at least another couple months. It'll be significant for players trying to learn new schemes and for the incoming rookies.
