5 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings are considering a trade for Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams. The Vikings made an offer last week for a Day 3 pick, but nothing came to fruition. There was no movement after Round 1 on Thursday night, but the Vikings could revisit things before Round 2 kicks off Friday evening. The Redskins have been asking for at least a second-round pick for the Pro Bowl left tackle, but the Vikings will also need to sign Williams to a hefty new extension if they trade for him, so a trade of any sort might need to include draft-pick compensation and a player. Minnesota is looking to shore up their pass blocking and run protection on the left side, and although Williams sat out all of last year, he's still one of the best left tackles in the NFL.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
