Victor Robles Out On Wednesday
4 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hip) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox. Luke Raley will take his place in center field and will bat sixth for the M's against Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello. Third baseman Josh Rojas will man the leadoff spot. Robles left Tuesday's contest against Boston early with a hip injury, but manager Scott Servais said it will only cost Robles one game. The 27-year-old should be back in action in center field for Seattle for Friday's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies after Thursday's scheduled off day. Robles is seeing regular action in center field with Julio Rodriguez (ankle) on the injured list and he's taken advantage by going 27-for-75 (.360) with two homers, six doubles, five RBI and nine stolen bases in his first 33 games with the club.
