5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Vance McDonald (shoulder) is dealing with a shoulder sprain, but he's not expected to have an extended absence. The Steelers traded for tight end Nick Vannett on Tuesday, however, so it's looking like McDonald is a good candidate to miss at least a game or two in the short term. It's no surprise either, as McDonald has never been one to stay healthy over the course of a full season. If you've been running with him as your starting TE1/2, you need to make backup plans for Week 4, especially with San Francisco playing on Monday night this week. Vannett will be a low-end TE2 if he makes starts if McDonald has to miss time.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
