6 years agoEdmonton Oilers winger Valentin Zykov is set to make his team debut on Friday against Minnesota after the team placed Drake Caggiula (hand) on Injured Reserve. Zykov was claimed off waivers on Nov. 30 after he had a slow start to the season in Carolina. He managed to pick up just three points in 13 games before the Canes decided to cut the ties with him. Zykov dominated the AHL last season with 33 goals and 54 points in 63 games, and he did reasonably well in the NHL as well with seven points in 10 games. He's got some good offensive ability, and he'll be skating on the third line alongside Ryan Spooner and Ty Rattie.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
