Tyrod Taylor Ruled Out With Concussion
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Cleveland Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Thursday night game against the Jets with a concussion. Taylor was terrible in the first half, going 4-for-14 for 19 yards while also rushing four times for 22 yards. In his place, rookie Baker Mayfield took over and immediately helped the offense become more effective while driving down for a field goal before halftime. Even if Taylor is cleared in time for Week 4 against the Raiders, we'd expect Mayfield to get the nod under center. He already looks to be the better quarterback with a much stronger arm and more upside all around. Mayfield can immediately become a QB2 option in two-QB leagues if he's the starter moving forward.
