Tylor Megill Throws One Inning In Rehab Outing
2 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Tylor Megill (shoulder) threw a scoreless inning and didn't allow a hit while striking out one and walking none in his latest minor league rehab outing on Friday for Triple-A Syracuse. Megill hasn't allowed a single run in four relief innings on his rehab assignment, striking out eight in the process. When the Mets deem that he's ready to return from the injured list, he'll return in a relief role to close out the regular season. As a result, he can be left to the waiver wire to close out the 2022 campaign. Before his injury, the 27-year-old was 4-2 with a 5.01 ERA (3.60 FIP), a 1.21 WHIP, 47 strikeouts and 11 walks in 41 1/3 innings over nine starts in his second major league season.
