Tyler Skaggs To Throw Off Mound This Weekend
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (ankle) is expected to throw off a mound this weekend, according to manager Brad Ausmus. The left-hander was long tossing this week, so he's making progress towards a return from the injured list and could be back in the rotation next week if all goes well. The 27-year-old allowed 17 hits and seven earned runs while walking two and fanning 14 in 15 innings (4.20 ERA) in his first three starts of the season. He should remain useful to fantasy owners in deep mixed leagues when he's healthy and is essentially the Halos ace until Andrew Heaney returns.
