5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielders Tyler O'Neill (wrist) and Jose Martinez (shoulder) could return from the injured list very soon, according to manager Mike Shildt. Martinez went on the shelf on Monday after crashing into the outfield wall, but he has already gotten some inflammation out of his shoulder. O'Neill has been out since Aug. 3, but he's worked off a pitching machine and has done flip drills. When both outfielders return, the Cardinals will be in a tough spot with Dexter Fowler, Marcell Ozuna, Randy Arozarena and Lane Thomas vying for playing time. Harrison Bader is also currently at Triple-A Memphis and is 7-for-20 in his last five games while retooling his swing.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
