6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow is experimenting with an Alex Cobb-like pause in his delivery during live batting practice on Tuesday. The young right-hander also worked with pitching coach Kyle Snyder to shorten his delivery to the plate and it has helped him consistently reach the upper-90s with his fastball so far this spring. While Glasnow may not stick with the pause in his delivery, he's a rising star that was once Pittsburgh's top pitching prospect. Glasnow's 9.9 K% in parts of three big league seasons shows his upside. If he can figure out how to throw more strike (5.0 BB%), Glasnow could break out in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
