Tyler Eifert Says He's Fine
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert (back), who is on the Physically Unable to Perform list to start training camp, said he's had no setback with his back and is feeling great. “There is no setback,” Eifert said to The Enquirer. “I’m feeling good. This is just the route we chose to take.” He also thinks he'll be ready to play in Week 1 and said he's 100 percent. We find it hard to believe that the perennially injured tight end is 100 percent, as he's played in only 24 of 64 regular season games in the last four seasons. It'd be great news if Eifert played a full season, but that feels like wishful thinking at this point. He's a red-zone beast when healthy, but his injury history makes him a late-round flier as a TE2, unfortunately.
