Tyler Eifert Has Resumed Running
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals impending free-agent tight end Tyler Eifert (ankle) is jogging 20 minutes at a time and is convinced he will be fully healthy and get back to the player that scored 13 touchdowns in 2015. “I’ll be back to where I was. No question,” said Eifert Tuesday, who admitted he didn’t know where he would be doing it. Eifert has great size at 6-foot-6, but he's played in just 12 of the 48 games since he tore ligaments in his ankle in the 2015 Pro Bowl. He's an elite tight end when healthy, but he's had neck, back, ankle and elbow injuries that have slowed him. It'll be interesting to see where Eifert goes in free agency, but his long injury history makes him a TE2 gamble.
