Tyler Beede To Undergo Tommy John Surgery
5 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Tyler Beede (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery on Friday in Dallas with Dr. Keith Meister, according to president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi. Beede felt tightness in his elbow in an exhibition game on March 3 and an MRI exam showed he had a flexor strain and a UCL sprain. The right-hander had been competing for a spot at the back end of the team's starting rotation, but he'll now miss all of the 2020 season and likely the beginning of next year as well after going 5-10 with a 5.08 ERA in 2019. You can now cross Beede off your board in deep mixed and NL-only leagues if you have yet to draft in single-year formats.
