6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Tyler Beede will likely be called up to make the start on Friday against the Reds in place of Derek Holland (finger), who was placed on the injured list. Beede is the team's No. 23 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and is sporting a nice 1.99 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 13.5 K/9 in 22 2/3 innings (five starts) for Triple-A Sacramento so far this season. With Holland likely only to miss a start, Beede might only make this one spot start, so he's not worth a big investment in deep mixed leagues. While the matchup against Cincy isn't a terrible one, he'll still be a risky streamer on Friday if he gets the nod.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
