Tyler Anderson To Start On Short Rest Tuesday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Tyler Anderson has been named the starter for Tuesday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Mariners manager Scott Servais made the announcement after Monday's game. Yusei Kikuchi was originally slated to start the game and it isn't clear at this point if his turn is being skipped or if he's being pushed back. Anderson will be starting on short rest. He pitched on Saturday, but only threw 54 pitches as he got absolutely hammered by the Los Angeles Angels, giving up nine runs over two innings. He had been pitching well before that outing, but he shouldn't be trusted by fantasy managers on short rest and while coming off such a dud.
