Tyler Anderson Expected To Start Game 2 Of NLDS
6 years agoColorado Rockies manager Bud Black said he was "leaning" toward using starting pitcher Tyler Anderson as the starter for Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Brewers on Friday. That would set up Kyle Freeland and German Marquez to pitch Sunday and Monday, respectively, in Denver. The left-handed Anderson went 7-9 with a 4.55 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 over 32 starts for the Rockies this year. He was lit up to the tune of seven hits (three homers) and seven earned runs in four innings for a loss in Milwaukee on Aug. 4. He'd once again be starting in Milwaukee on Friday, so he's only worth a look as a contrarian play.
