5 years agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Ty Buttrey (side) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Thursday and will throw another one on Saturday or Sunday and then again on Wednesday before getting into a spring training game in early March. Buttrey is dealing with an intercostal issue but has plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day, where he's expected to be the primary eighth-inning setup man before closer Hansel Robles. The 26-year-old (27 next month) had a 3.98 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 84 strikeouts in 72 1/3 innings for the Halos in 2019. He won't have much fantasy appeal outside of leagues that count holds for setup men.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
