Twins Still Using Multiple Pitchers For Ninth Inning
5 years agoThe Minnesota Twins continue to use a revolving door in the ninth inning in save situations, and manager Rocco Baldelli thinks that approach works best for his team. Five Twins pitchers have at least one save this season and right-hander Trevor May earned his first save on Tuesday against the Mariners. Blake Parker leads the team with nine saves, while lefty Taylor Rogers has six. Rogers was unavailable on Tuesday with back stiffness and hasn't pitched since June 6. Their bullpen also ranks 21st in baseball with a 4.63 ERA. Rogers and Parker are both worth owning in deeper leagues, as they should both continue to see save chances based on how Baldelli wants to use them late in games.
