Twins Discussing Deal With Marwin Gonzalez
6 years agoThe Minnesota Twins are discussing parameters of a three-year deal with free-agent infielder Marwin Gonzalez on Thursday, according to multiple baseball sources. The soon-to-be 30-year-old can play pretty much all over the infield and anywhere in the outfield, which makes him extremely valuable to a lot of clubs looking to make a late addition before the season. He broke out in 2017 with the Astros but took a step back last year, hitting .247/.324/.409 with 16 homers and 68 RBI in 145 games. His greatest asset to fantasy owners is his positional flexibility, but a move to pitcher-friendly Minnesota wouldn't exactly give owners confidence that he can improve on last season.
