5 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story (head) was removed from the game early on Friday after he took a bad hop off his wrist that caromed off his forehead just above his left eye. The Rockies had a big lead at the time of Story's removal, so it was likely precautionary. The 26-year-old has been one of the most valuable fantasy shortstops this year, hitting .284/.351/.532 with 16 home runs, 61 runs scored, 46 RBI and 12 stolen bases in his 308 plate appearances. Story had three hits (one double), two runs scored and a steal in five plate appearances on Friday. Check back on Saturday to see if he's back in the starting lineup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
