Trevor Bauer To Be Examined In Cleveland
6 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer (ankle) has returned to Cleveland to have his right ankle examined after he was hit by a line drive and knocked out of his start on Saturday against the White Sox. He's scheduled to start this Friday against the Orioles, and he sounded confident he'd make the start on Sunday. However, the Tribe has an off day on Thursday and could rearrange their rotation to give Bauer extra rest. Initial X-rays on Bauer's ankle came back negative. He's having a career year with a 12-6 record and 2.22 ERA. It'd be a shame if he has to miss out on an excellent matchup against the last-place O's.
