Trevor Bauer Lands On DL
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians placed starting pitcher Trevor Bauer (leg) on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday with a "small stress fracture" in his right fibula, according to manager Terry Francona. Reliever Tyler Olson was called up from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. Adam Plutko will replace Bauer in the rotation and start against the Orioles on Saturday. Plutko hasn't been great this year for Cleveland (4.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 6.3 K/9), but he'll be a worthwhile streamer against the O's in deeper formats. Bauer is having a breakout season and has gone 12-6 with a 2.22 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and whopping 11.6 K/9 in 25 starts. He's a Cy Young candidate and should remain held everywhere.
