Trea Turner Takes BP Tuesday
6 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner (finger) took a light round of batting practice on the field on Tuesday for the first time since he fractured his left index finger on April 2. He isn't yet taking full swings and isn't making full throws from shortstop, but he's making good progress and looks to be around two weeks from rejoining the lineup. Turner was hitting a very nice .357/.400/.857 with two homers, four RBI and four steals in 14 at-bats before his injury and should return to being one of the best fantasy shortstops around. With the Nats sending prospect Carter Kieboom back to the minors on Tuesday, Wilmer Difo should be the primary shortstop until Turner makes his way back.
