Travis Lakins Sr. Placed On Injured List
3 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Travis Lakins Sr. (elbow) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday after he left his start early on Tuesday night with elbow discomfort. In corresponding moves, the team selected the contract of right-hander Spenser Watkins and recalled Isaac Mattson from Triple-A Norfolk. Alexander Wells was optioned to Norfolk and Stevie Wilkerson was designated for assignment. Lakins was making the spot start (his first start of the season) on Wednesday, but he left the game after walking three of the first six hitters. The 26-year-old is 1-4 with a 5.79 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 24 strikeouts in 28 innings in 24 outings (one start) this year and shouldn't be rostered in fantasy.
