Travis Lakins Sr. Has Significant Elbow Injury
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles right-hander Travis Lakins Sr. (elbow) is dealing with a significant elbow injury, according to manager Brandon Hyde. Lakins was forced to leave his first start of the season on Tuesday against the Houston Astros after he allowed one run while walking three of the six hitters he faced in just 1 2/3 innings. Don't expect him to be back in Baltimore anytime soon, and when he does return, he's likely to go back to a low-leverage relief role since he's made only four starts in his major league career since 2019. Lakins is currently 1-4 on the season with a 5.79 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and weak 19.5 percent strikeout rate in 28 innings pitched. He belongs on the waiver wire in every single fantasy format.
