Travis Bazzana 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Could the 2024 Top Draft Pick Debut?
14 mins agoWe don't often see a player make his Major League debut the season after getting drafted, but it can certainly happen with advanced collegiate bats like Travis Bazzana who was the top pick of the 2024 draft. After two standout seasons in 2024 and 2024 at Oregon State, Bazzana got into 27 minor league games after the draft and picked up seven doubles, three home runs, five steals, and a 13.9% walk rate. Bazzana is one of the most polished bats in the minors with a plus or better hit tool, great plate approach, and above average power and speed. He made contact at an 80% clip after the draft with a tiny 7.5% swinging strike rate. Bazzana will likely start the season in Double-A and a late-season debut with the Guardians shouldn't be out of the question. Long-term, the upside is a Top-5 player at the second base position.
