5 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Tommy La Stella (leg) said that he will take batting practice on the field on Friday. La Stella has been out since July 2 after fracturing his tibia, and he's been limited to running on a treadmill. He's been a pleasant surprise in a full-time role in his first season with the Halos, hitting an even .300/.353/.495 with 16 home runs, 49 runs and 44 RBI. There's a chance he returns at some point in September, but fantasy owners shouldn't be holding out much hope that he can help them in the playoffs.
