Tommy John Surgery Recommended For Carlos Rodon
6 years agoThe first opinion Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) received suggested Tommy John surgery. The team is awaiting the results of a second doctor's opinion, but it's not looking good so far for the left-hander. If Rodon does indeed have elbow reconstruction, he'd be out the rest of this year part of the 2020 season. The 26-year-old was 3-2 with a 5.19 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 46 strikeouts in 34 2/3 innings (seven starts) before his injury. The strikeouts have been there, but his lack of control (4.4 BB/9) continues to hurt him. If Tommy John surgery is confirmed, you can drop him in all redraft leagues.
