Todd Gurley Remains Focal Point Of Offense
6 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said on The Rich Eisen Show that running back Todd Gurley (knee) remains "a focal point of our offense going forward." The All-Pro running back was limited down the stretch last year and into the playoffs with arthritis in his knee, and general manager Les Snead suggested in February that Gurley's workload might need to be monitored. When healthy, Gurley is the best running back in the NFL because of his dynamic abilities as a runner and pass catcher. He has handled 1,042 carries in the regular season in his first four seasons, giving him an average of 21.2 touches per game. Gurley's fantasy stock will drop a bit as an elite RB1 because of his risk of injury and the Rams scaling him back, but he's still a first-round commodity.
