Tigers Announce Positive COVID-19 Tests
4 years agoDetroit Tigers general manager Al Avila announced on Wednesday that individuals in the organization have tested positive for COVID-19, but no names were released. Avila also said those that tested positive "were isolated, retested, and passed the protocols to permit them to resume baseball activities." The Tigers began summer camp workouts at Comerica Park last Friday. It's unclear if the individuals that tested positive were players or staff or both. Players that either have tested positive or have come in contact with someone that tested positive must return two negative tests within 24 hours in order to be cleared to work out with the team. It's unclear if those players will be ready for Opening Day on July 24.
