Thomas Greiss Faces Blue Jackets On Monday
3 years agoDetroit Red Wings goaltender Thomas Greiss will be the team's starter for Monday's clash with the Blue Jackets. The German has been rotated with Alex Nedeljkovic all season and this is going to be only the ninth start of the year for him. Greiss started very well, but he's had some rough outings lately and it's dropped his record to 4-4-0. He's allowed five goals twice in his last four starts, which has taken his goals-against average to 3.09 and his save percentage to .909. The Red Wings have won four of their last five games, but this has been a bad matchup for them through the years, as they have collected only six victories from the last 21 head-to-head meetings.
