Texans Want Laremy Tunsil From Dolphins
5 years agoThe Houston Texans are offering Pro Bowl edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney in a proposed trade for Miami Dolphins left tackle Laremy Tunsil, but the Dolphins are asking for more, according to two league sources. The Dolphins have asked the Texans for another high draft pick in addition to Clowney and a first-round pick. Clowney continues to hold out, while the Texans are desperate to add a quality left tackle like Tunsil. Clowney must first sign his franchise tender in order to be traded. The pass-rusher would prefer to be traded to the Eagles or Seahawks, but that could change if the Dolphins agree to tag him as a defensive end, which would pay Clowney more on the franchise tag. Adding Clowney would be a huge boost to Miami's pass rush, but it still probably wouldn't make them attractive as a fantasy defense in standard-sized leagues. Tunsil's addition in Houston would be excellent news for quarterback Deshaun Watson, who was sacked more than any other QB in 2018.
