Texans Acquiring Demaryius Thomas
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, the Houston Texans are acquiring Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas on Tuesday with salary-cap hits of $4.5 million in 2018 and a non-guaranteed $14 million in 2019 (zero dead cap). The Broncos will take on dead cap hits of $7.5 million this year and $3.5 million in 2019. Denver will also receive a mid-round pick from Houston. Thomas should see a boost in his fantasy value going to Houston, but he'll be the No. 2 behind DeAndre Hopkins. Rookie Keke Coutee, who sat out last week with a hamstring injury, should take on slot duties when he returns, but his upside will be limited now that Thomas is entering the fold. Rookie Courtland Sutton will now be Denver's No. 2 wideout behind Emmanuel Sanders. He needs to be owned in all leagues.
